Newsletter winter 2008

It is with great personal sadness that this will be the last

newsletter you will receive from Awesome Lake Lodge

 The lodge is currently being sold and the paper work

should be completed by the early spring. For the last

number of years forces outside of my control have been

conspiring against the viability of the outfitting industry

in general. 9/11, the fluctuating dollar and the ever

increased fuel prices have all been factors in my decision

to sell the lodge

 
The new owners have indicated that they will not be

taking bookings for 2009 but if anybody wishes to come

to Labrador for any type of fishing trip please get in

contact with me and I can help you get in touch with

other outfitters. My email address will remain in effect.

 I will of course take from my years as an outfitter, many

valuable experiences but more important are the

friendships that I have made. I will continue to live in

Goose Bay and I hope to see you all in Labrador again in

the future and if you do make it back to “The Big Land”
